Left-chest embroidery for work shirts and polos
Embroidery is the right call for polos, button-front work shirts and anything that goes through an industrial laundry. Battle Born Clothing stitches in-house on two single-head commercial machines (a Happy HCD2-1501 and a YunFu 15-needle) with Rapos thread. No minimum.

Add $18.99 one-time digitizing per design; we keep the file for reorders. Logos over 6,000 stitches are quoted per design. A typical left-chest logo is 3.5 to 4 inches wide and 4,000 to 7,000 stitches depending on fill.
Where it goes
- Left chest: the standard. On a pocket shirt we go above the pocket or to the right chest.
- Right chest: names, titles or a second logo. Quoted per job.
- Sleeve: a small logo or flag, 2-2.5 inches. Quoted per job.
- Back yoke: company name across the shoulders, quoted per job. Large full-back embroidery is quoted per design.
Shirts it works on
Polos like the K500 and CS410, button-front work shirts like the Red Kap SP24, and heavy tees like the PC61. On thin performance tees we use a light cutaway backing to keep the fabric from puckering. On hi-vis mesh we keep the stitch count down.
Thread and durability
We use Rapos polyester thread. It holds color through bleach and industrial washing better than rayon, which is why we use it on uniforms. Thread colors are matched to your logo and recorded for reorders.
Questions
Do you charge digitizing every order?
No. $18.99 once per design. We keep the file and the thread numbers.
Can you embroider over a pocket?
We embroider above it or on the opposite chest. Stitching through a pocket seam gives an uneven result.
What if my logo has tiny text?
Text under about 0.2 inches tall does not embroider legibly. We will suggest dropping or enlarging it on the proof.
